Each visit and unlimited messaging with a dietitian are covered by your program. Some of this fee may be reimbursed by your insurance company. We also encourage our members to use insurance for costs outside of membership, including supplements. We are currently in-network with Aetna and MetroHealthPlus.

Using Your Benefits

Insurance Coverage

You may be able to get coverage from your provider for the cost of programs and sessions.

Out-of-Network Coverage

Your program may be covered by your insurance provider as out-of-network medical care—many members get up to 70% reimbursed.


Many of our members use FSA/HSA to pay for sessions, membership fees, and supplements.


If you are recommended supplements, you may be able to use FSA/HSA benefits to cover your costs. Your membership also gives you 15% off purchases at our supplements store.


All About Insurance


Depending on your health insurance plan, expenses incurred for services provided by The Nourish Center may be covered, partially or not, by your insurance company. The Nourish Center is in-network with Aetna and MetroHealth Plus. However, many PPO plans offer out-of-network benefits that may reimburse you for nutrition counseling from a Registered Dietitian of your choice, even if you do not have Aetna. Coverage and reimbursement will depend on several factors, including your specific plan benefits, medical diagnosis, and if your nutrition counseling session is in-person or via video chat.  If you are using insurance to pay for your visit, please note that our office will contact your insurance company about benefits, eligibility, payment, and fees for nutrition counseling. Still, we also recommend that you contact them as well. Your insurance is a contract between you and your insurance carrier and does not guarantee payment for nutrition services. Our office advocates for your coverage and submits claims on your behalf, but it is ultimately your insurance company's decision if you are covered. If you have any questions regarding your insurance coverage, please direct them to your insurance representative and our billing staff at



The Nourish Center may produce monthly superbills for its members at their request. Superbills are properly coded invoices to be submitted to insurance companies for reimbursement. This process is rigorous and time-consuming. Therefore, we do not automatically generate superbills unless members request, but we are happy to take the time for our members when asked.
